Humans are natural salt seekers. Salt tastes good to us, and there is good reason for this. The emphasis on very low-salt diets is misguided.     cassl14 6 months ago @Dee I don't know that I'm buying the whole oil is bad in general opinion. Doesn't it depend on the oil? What about a good quality olive, grapeseed or avocado, or hempseed oil? These are supposed to be good for you and high in omegas and other healthy properties. No expert, I use "good" oils in moderation and think it's fine. No? lol

    Dee 6 months ago cassl14 May I implant an idea in your head. Which is healthier as far as oil goes? Coconut chunks(chopped coconut) or pure coconut oil. Obviously coconut chunks since the fiber is still in tact. Coconut chunks will digest different compared to coconut oil. Pure fat vs fiber& fat. You’ll digest differently and it will be stored differently

    Dee 6 months ago cassl14 would you rather eat apple juice or an apple? You’d eat an apple due to the fiber compared to the pure apple juice. I always try to eat my foods as whole as possible. You can go off track and grab a cheat meal but it shouldn’t be everyday let’s add some olive or corn oil to my food. Instead of taste let’s use herbs and spice. Yes our body is dependent on fat but certain plants contain those needed fats.

    cassl14 6 months ago @Dee Yeah, your argument isn't compelling. I think fruit juice if it's pure and in moderation is just fine. Same with healthier oils. I'm not a food nazi and never will be but thank you for your input.

    Man in scrub Dallas 5 months ago cassl14. Have you watched on YouTube the process used to make/extract oil? I would advise to get your oil from eating avocados 🥑, coconut 🥥, groundnuts, and other 🥜, sparingly of course. You’ll be well-balanced. Good luck 👍.

    Esther Perrig 5 months ago cassl14 in moderation is a bit difficult to use. Because if people could determine what in moderation is, why is more than half of the us overweight and obese. Do those people not eat in moderation? Moderation can be an amount that’s convenient and that’s a slippery slope from healthy moderation to excess. Why do you hit yourself with a hammer, or in moderation, hit yourself with a smaller hammer.
